HIKING: Coyote Valley

Description

This is a half mile one-way trail and is completely wheelchair accessible. It's a very easy, kid-friendly hike with no change in elevation. The path starts out at the Colorado River and winds through a big meadow following the river with interpretive signs and benches along the way. Elk are often seem grazing out in the meadow.

Directions

Enter Rocky Mountain National Park from the main entrance at Estes Park. Keep heading east and it will turn into Trail Ridge Road. Travel all the way down Trail Ridge Road. At the end there will be several winding curves. You'll then be heading south on the west side of the park. About 5 miles later the Coyote Valley Trailhead will be on the right.<br /><br />If you're traveling from the west side of the park just head north on 34. The trailhead is on the left.
